It took us 11 years to get Tiger back to Australia and he certainly made it worth the wait. 100,000 fans made their way out to Kingston Heath this week to catch some of the action and they were not disappointed. Only a couple minutes ago, Tiger added JBWere Masters champion to his incredible list of victories.
Woods was in fine form from the moment he stepped up to the first tee on Thursday. He says round 3 was terrible for him but I tell you, his worst day was still par and very good on this challenging course. With rounds of 66, 68, 72 and 68 to close with -14, Woods claimed victory by 2 strokes over Greg Chalmers from Australia.
Congratulations to Tiger from everyone here at Team Badds.
Wow was it a ride for Aaron this week. He found some trouble along the way but was also able to mix it with some amazing holes that reflected how well his game is coming together. There has been so much talk of Aaron getting back to his game that he had when he was a teenager and this week gave us a good look at just how close he is to that now. With a start of 73 and 68 he was in a great position heading into the weekend. Yesterday, Badds really struggled to get ahead and a 76 proved to be too costly for him to be in contention heading into today’s final round.
Clearly, Aaron had no trouble putting his 3rd round behind him as he teed off this morning. He started off with a birdie and a bogey in the first 4 holes before he really hit his stride. 4 birdies in the final 9 saw Aaron make a swift move up the leaderboard and finish with a great 68. With rounds of 73, 68, 76 and 68, Aaron finished tied for 17th place at 3 under par.
A busy time for Badds now as he prepares for the Australian Open and heads to China for his junior championship.
Have a great week!
